Vintage 1970’s Engagement Photo Shoot inspired by retro California
My photography style is largely inspired by the look of film. Specifically, I’m inspired by the retro nostalgic look of 1970’s film, with vibrant colors and just a little bit of grain. Honestly, I’m inspired by most things 70’s! The music and the fashion – everything from that time period gives me a bit of nostalgia for a time that I never lived in. So needless to say, I was beyond excited for this engagement session, inspired by vintage fashion and 1970’s California.
This look was built around vintage denim locally thrifted by the couple. These bellbottom jeans and Levi’s denim jacket were the perfect base. A few accessories, like her adorable mustard yellow headwrap and mini gold medallion necklaces, tied the look together. Of course the best accessory for this engagement session was the 70’s Polaroid camera we had as a prop!
